Try Juno On line services. You can access their free dial up as well as their free on line e mail service. For 14.95 a year, you can download their software which Jaws backs with it's scripts, and you can download your mail from their servers directily to your computer. Simular to Outlook express. Juno has an easier interface though.

Gotta go with GMail. The big draw for me is that I pop and smtp access through outlook express that can be accessed through any connection. I can be anyware and not have to use the web interface. They even provide a configuration tool for outlook express that works great. Hech!!! it even works with the Mail program on the Mac!!!!!! Yipiie....

I have Hotmail, Yahoo, and I used to have FastMail. But I never managed to get the FastMail one on my Outlook thing. (It's probably been deleted by now anyway.) But now I think it has where I can put one of my Hotmail accounts on the Outlook, so I'll probably just do that. Oh, and I used to have Onebox when it was free. That one was pretty neat because it also had where you could check your email or voicemail through the phone. *smiles* I haven't been able to find anything like that anymore though, that's free anyway.

BT stands for british telecome. Gmail must be good but i never use it and will never do until they allow blind people to sign up indipendently. I hate having to type characters in a box and i can't see the point asking somebody else to do it. If they don't let us use their survices on our own they don't werth having me as a member.

Just a note about hotmail. Unfortunatley, for the free users according to Microsoft they don't allow configurations with outlook express any more. you need to pay for that. GMail! yes, it's wonderful. Okay, so yes someone has to read those silly little characters but that's a small price to pay for a relyable free service that can be used anyware through any e-mail client. Got it also working on my Dell X51V!!! Sure was nice to have on the cruise ship so I could keep tabs on my Fuzzy sun back home.

Well, GMX is quite good. And we in Germany have a provider which is called web.de freemail.

i use hotmail and i was lucky, i managed to get it configured to my outlook when it was free, plus, it has an audio security system instead of asking someone for help with characters. you just download the file. i have a yahoo account, but my main one is hotmail.

Web.de freemail doesn#T have such a visual security thingy. That might be a god, but it doesn't have anything at all, so it seems it is not that secure. But I hardly get any junk mail there.

Smokey Bear, Captchas need not bother you. Web Visum and Firefox working together do a great job. On the home computer I use Firefox quite a bit, and turn off all the Webvisum enhancements except Captchas. Depending on your screen reader, you may want those enhancements on, but at any rate if you do a form that requires a Captcha Web Visum is the way to go. PM me and I'll see you get an invite from them if they still are doing it ...
